What Ichinomiya Tracker does and doesn't do with your information.
Which shrines you've marked visited is stored only in your browser, on this device. It is never sent anywhere, including to us.
Clearing your browser data or switching devices will lose this record unless you use "Export progress" to save a file, then "Load data" on the other device.
"Nearest to me" requests your location only when you press it, to sort the list and center the map. Your location is never stored or sent anywhere. Everything else works without it.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people use the site. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally — just aggregate stats like pages viewed, referrers, and rough region.
Loading the page talks to a few outside services, each of which sees the connecting IP address as a normal side effect of any web request:
Map tiles are cached after first load, so repeat visits use less data and the map still works offline.
We may show affiliate links for gear relevant to visiting shrines. Any such section is labeled "AD".
Following a link to a store may set cookies on that store's own site for tracking a sale. We never pass your visit record or location to them. Nothing happens unless you click.
We can't share what we don't have. Your visit record and location stay on your device.
